JSynthLib MIDI sysex librarian for A6

Well, not just for the A6...I've added an A6 "driver" to JSynthLib, a multi-synth sysex librarian written in Java. You'll need to have a Java Runtime Environment installed; I'm using v1.3.1 with Win98. See the JSynthLib home page for full details on the program. The A6 driver allows transfer of banks or single dumps of both programs and mixes.

There's a "Play" feature which allows you to "audition" a single program - the program is stored into User location 127 in the A6 and then a midi note is sent to the synth so you can hear it (and you can then play it from the keyboard too). When using this, be aware that User program 127 is being overwritten, so don't leave a program there that you haven't already backed up to another location.

The zip file containing JSynthLib version 0.17 with my driver added in is here. (An older version based on 0.16 is here, but I'd recommend using the newer one.)

A zip file containing a JSynthLib library of A6 sounds (from the Alesis web site) is here

JSynthLib (and my modifications) are released under the GNU General Public License, so you'll have the source code as well as the executable. This program is provided without warranty, expressed or implied; but know that I'll be maintaining the driver since it has to work with my A6.
